WORLDCAT & CAMIO
1. Did an Advanced Search. At first put in Martin Luther and got mostly books on Martin Luther King Jr. I had already set the limits of only Books, Juvenile and Non-Fiction. Then I put in Martin Luther Religion and got 34 items. Chose Martin Luther: the great reformer at the St. Paul Public Library. Really liked all the abilities
to limit.
2. Again did an Advanced Search. Put in Graphic Novels Classics and limited it to Young Adult. 61 items came up. I chose The Three Musketeers published by Acclaim Books.
3. Advanced Search. Limiter was Musical Scores. Put in My Fair Lady Vocal Score. 113 items came came up. I chose one with the Accession # 2052359.
COMMON CORE:
Writing Standard 6-12
Research to Build and Present Knowledge 9-10 #7
Conduct short as well as more sustained research projects to answer a question( including a self-generated question) or solve a problem; narrow or broaden the inquiry when appropriate; synthesize multiple sources on the subject, demonstrating understanding of the subject under investigation.
Great resource to teach research skills. Would give 10th graders 5 questions such as we use in our assignments for this Challenge and have them use World Cat. Would have to give step by step ways they found the information.
CAMIO:
1. Put in years on left side then Dress and got no results. Put in
British Fashion and one women's dress showed up. Put in British Clothing and 1 man's outfit showed up
COMMON CORE:
Speaking and Listening Standards 6-12
Presentation of Knowledge and Ideas 9-10 #5
Make strategic use of digital media (e.g., textual, graphical, audio, visual, and interactive elements) in presentations to enhance understanding of findings, reasoning, and evidence and to add interest.
Use in 10th grade for speeches as visual aids. Also excellent for book reports.

You did a great job here, Cathy. Super searchers like to try different ways to get the desired results--it's a good mind exercise, as you have devised for your Common Core lesson. Thanks for your comments!
